EMBODIED EARTH

‘Illuminations’ is a series of digital images of my shadow on the cliff face, taken the few moments after the sun rises over several weeks. I create images with my shadow body and the cliff face using the light and colour of the rising sun, capturing the momentary shadow imprint of my body embedded with layers of soils and impregnated with shell fragments and fossils, layered over millions of years. (No digital manipulation of the images)
